Sweden 30 Years in the EU

On May 9th, we celebrate Europe Day – a day to recognize peace, cooperation, and unity in Europe. This year, we invite you to an inspiring conference where we, explore the significance of the EU for Sweden, which is celebrating 30 years of membership. The conference will highlight different perspectives on EU cooperation, with a focus on regional collaboration, business, and future challenges.

- The Öresund Bridge, 25 years later – A Link Between Countries, People, and Opportunities. How has the Öresund Bridge influenced regional development and integration? Seminar organized by the Centre for European Studies (CFE).
- The EU’s Internal Market and Competitiveness. What role does the internal market play in Swedish trade, innovation, and growth?
- The EU’s History and Future. From the Treaty of Rome to future visions – what challenges and opportunities lie ahead for Europe?

Organizers: Europe Direct Lund and Malmö University, in collaboration with partners such as the Öresund Institute, CFE, and the Centre for Öresund Studies at Lund University.
The conference is free of charge and will be conducted in English.
