Trump and Europe: Choices for the European Union
Europe stands at a crossroads amid escalating challenges, including Russia's aggression and the Ukraine war. In addition, the recent election of Donald Trump as U.S. president raises concerns about relying on an ally with waning interest in Europe. At the same time, demand for European unity as a possible solution to these issues is growing. What path will Europe take? Join us for a talk with Anders Ahnlid, Director General at the Swedish National Board of Trade, Maria Strömvik deputy general at CFE and Lars Danielsson, diplomat, former State Secretary and is currently a senior consultant at Lumo Advice.
Join us for an exciting opportunity to get more insights into the future of Europe and the impact of the newly elected US president in an event organized by: The Centre for European Studies, Europe Direct Lund, Utrikespolitiska föreningen Lund, and The European Parliament liaison office in Sweden. The event will be held on the 3rd of February in Eden’s auditorium between 18:00-20:00 and will host a panel discussion with prominent speakers with deep knowledge and impressive merits within their fields. The evening will cover topics such as the future of European security policy with parallels to the past and environmental questions while adding the aspects of the American election results and their implications for Europe.
Following the seminar there will be a small reception.
